Arbetsbeskrivning
We are looking for a Scrum master to join the challenge of developing the world’s best thermal management system for future Scania trucks! This is an opportunity to join the journey of making the transport industry more sustainable while also being a part of a transformation where we are setting the future ways of working with agile hardware development.
The Team
As the thermal management system for electric vehicles is complex and requires expertise in different areas, we are divided into sub-teams with defined responsibilities. We are now looking for Scrum masters for two of these teams.
• One team is developing electrical actuators and sensors such as valves and pumps which are central to the function of the system.
• The other is designing hardware such as routing and distributing coolant to components, for example, the batteries and the electric powertrain.
Both teams consist of design engineers with a wide range of experience and backgrounds. We strive for an open, easy-going climate where everyone feels safe and has fun at work since we are convinced this is the best way to get the most out of our ambitious and skilled team members.
We believe in a good balance between work and personal life, offering a flexible work situation with the possibility to work approximately 50% at the office in Södertälje and 50% from home.
Your assignment
Together with the product owner, you will lead your team in the daily work. You will facilitate team planning and daily stand-ups where the team track their progress and lift any obstacles blocking their plan. An important part of your role is to coach your team members in agile principles and promote an open team climate. If you haven’t yet been in contact with agile methods, there will be opportunities to learn.
The role is currently containing a mix of Scrum master tasks, such as those mentioned above, and more traditional project management tasks such as keeping track of project time plans and coordinating with cross functions like purchasing and our suppliers. Since we are in an ongoing agile transformation, you will have a great opportunity to shape the future ways of working and the future responsibilities of this role. Your closest manager will be near you and your team during this entire journey to ensure you have the right support.
Your profile
Personal characteristics we value are good communication skills, a big portion of empathy and a can-do mentality. We believe that you are a problem solver who goes out and finds the way forward when the road is not completely laid out before you.
• You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Work experience from product development in the automotive industry within R&D or from a relevant cross-functional area is considered a strong merit.
• Experience from leading others as a project manager or scrum master is meriting.
• Professional fluency in English is a requirement, and Swedish is a merit.
If you think this position sounds interesting but you are not sure if you fulfil all the requirements, do not hesitate to apply or contact us anyway! What we value most of all is finding the right person with the right mindset. Regardless of the level you start at, we will encourage and support your development while growing into the role and forward.
