What’s in it for you?
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to complete the Hardware Design team at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg and to help us drive our agile journey.
The Hardware Design is a team within Engineering Enablers at Complete Vehicle Engineering. We are Change Leaders, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Architects, equipped with domain knowledge for our areas, leadership skills and a great business knowledge. We operate within Design & Virtual Hardware cluster which is a part of the R&D Digital organization. We deliver capabilities for Research & Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Product Design; enabling hardware engineering and UX development.
The Mechanical and Tooling engineering product is focusing on CAD, meaning the IT infrastructure for CAD applications, and supporting methods and ways of working within the CAD area. The cluster consists of cross-functional teams with end-to-end responsibility for operation, development, methods/processes, support, and education with responsibility for approx. 180 applications mainly within the CAx/PDM area. We work according to the SAFe framework and use Scrum for our daily work.
What you’ll do
As a Scrum Master in the Mechanical & Tooling Engineering product you are overall responsible for ensuring agile work methods and process regarding the way of working in the team. You will coach your team in all aspects of the agile mind-sets and ways of working to optimize deliveries through the flow of value. You will ensure effective SAFe and Scrum team events and you will be an important part of building the team and creating a psychologically safe environment for continuous improvement and cooperation. You will also be part of the Scrum Master community, both within your immediate delivery and within the larger organization.
An important part of the Scrum Master role is supporting your team to remove impediments and reduce risks to be able to improve quality and the speed of deliveries. You will encourage collaboration across roles and domains and help the team to improve the Continuously Delivery Pipeline and the DevOps practices.
As a Scrum Master you will be a vital part of our product, helping the team to adopt to an agile way of working and to have a clear view of where we are in our development and analysis work. You will work closely with our PO to create a good working environment for our team members and setting the agile way of working together with other Scrum Masters within the Cluster level.
You and your skills
We believe you are an experienced Scrum Master with good knowledge of how to apply an agile mindset and relentless improvement within teams and organizations. Experience from the SAFe framework and Azure DevOps it is seen as a plus. As you work in an international environment, fluency in English is a must.
On a personal level, you have a coaching approach and the ability to motivate others. You see possibilities in challenges and work towards solutions in a structured manner. Furthermore, you are an efficient networker with the ability to illustrate information to others and to create a common understanding and direction for the team. You are comfortable collaborating and communicating with people on different levels in an organization as well as with different backgrounds.
