Where you’ll belong
At Volvo Cars Safety Centre, 170 highly skilled professionals strive every day for making the world a safer place for car drivers and everyone else on the road. We are proud of our track record to date including numerous world's firsts, all based on real world research and knowledge. 

The future challenges and opportunities are exciting and through advanced technology and research we are developing safety with regard to injury prevention and collision avoidance, in addition to areas like Autonomous Drive, HMI, emotional safety and driver behavior. 

We are now looking for a Scrum Master (ScM) for the Teams within the Safety Integration (SI) Attribute Team. The teams are Interior Occupant Analysis and Interior Head Impact Analysis. The common goals for both teams are to deliver world-class safety analysis that supports our agile release trains (ARTs) in making balanced decisions for competitive products while maintaining Volvo Cars’ leading position within passenger car safety.

Your Contribution
You will work as a servant leader and coach the Agile Team to empowerment and help the team focus on the goals in the context of current Program Increment (PI) Objectives. You will be a key player to create and to maintain a high-performing team, you will act as an agile team member with the task to facilitate communication, coordination, and cooperation to ensure the team reaches the delivery goals. 

You will facilitate the team’s progress and continuously engage in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, flow, and velocity. You will support to educate the team in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed. You will also help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement but also coordinate activities with other teams. Your primary responsibility is to assist the self-organizing, self-managing team achieve its goals. 

You will together with the Product Owner (PO) and Team Manager (TM) create a strong trio with the mission to secure that the teams have the prerequisites needed to create and spread knowledge required for Volvo to stay leading in safety. 

Competence is important
You will need previous experience from leading in an Agile setup, provide direction and lead continuous improvements. You are well acquainted with the Agile Way of Working and the Safe Framework. You will preferably also have an understanding of what vehicle safety means within the automotive area.

Personality is key
You have the ability to enable work and create an environment where people take responsibility for their actions. You enjoy creating an optimized work process and strive for a high-performing team. You are leading with the aim to create the best collaboration both within teams as well as between them. You are also focused on your own development to maintain in-depth safety and work process knowledge over time.
