JOB DESCRIPTION

Stoneridge is a leading supplier to the automotive, truck, bus, and off-road markets. We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master for distributed teams working in a project that develops driving solutions for automotive OEMs. Agile working methods are a foundation in our way of working. Here you will work with a product where you can see the actual result, the entire flow from design to finished product.

JOB DUTIES

As Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. Using your skills for conflict resolution, communicate using scrum values such as openness, honesty, and respect. You will also be responsible for coaching international teams from different cultures and creating the environment for the agile teams with focus on open communication and take the task mindset. You will also have responsibility for forecasting the numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration and being the expert of estimation and planning. You should possess the knowledge of how to create useful, reliable, and practical plans for software development projects.

You also pursue challenging goals and work hard to achieve them, in part through promoting good teamwork and your strong communication skills. It is also important that you are able to collaborate with other software team leaders to divide the workload in an effective way.

To thrive in this position, it is critical that you have:


• Min 3 years’ experience as scrum master and/or at least 5 years’ experience from embedded software development (Knowledge of using Linux or other real time operating systems)
• Conviction that verification is as important as implementation
• Basic knowledge of Subversion, GIT or ClearCase, or similar
• Basic knowledge of Atlassian Jira, or similar
• Knowledge of agile methods (i.e., SCRUM)
• Minimum B.Sc. in Software engineering
• Excellent skills in English, both written and spoken

It is meriting if you have experience from:


• Working according to A SPICE framework (ISO 15504) or Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
• Python (with relation to understanding the software release toolchain)
• Knowledge in electronics, ability to read circuit drawings
• Familiarity with the automotive industry

These systems help drivers to get a better view on the surroundings, making life safer for pedestrians and vehicle drivers alike. We are working on integrating machine learning into our products so that drivers can get alerts in critical situations and focus more on the road ahead.
