Seasonal Cook to our bistros

Bistro1909 is a family owned company which owns two restaurants in the old town of Alcúdia in Mallorca, Spain. Bistro 1909 is open for lunch and dinner and has a capacity of 35 covers on the terrace and 25 inside. The menu is presenting local ingredients in a global setting. Several classics are side-by-side original Bistro dishes. The kitchen and service team consists of thirteen people in each restaurant. We are open from March until November. Bistro1909 has Scandinavian owners and the company language is English.

We have a need for a Seasonal Cook to our bistros

Now that the world slowly can return to a new safer normal, we are preparing ourselves for the season. We are looking for seasonal cooks to our bistro in the old town of Alcúdia, Mallorca. We believe that you have education and/or relevant experience from a la carte cooking. You are now looking for a real challenge and a chance to develop in an international environment. You need to speak good English. You must have a strong interest in your job. You are a person who looks for interesting experiences and you can function well in a foreign environment as well as in a highly stressful situation. You are a problem solver and you are capable of being flexible. You are also very social and enjoy to work close to other people. You are physically fit to handle sometimes hard work in a hot climate. More than anything you are truly interested to learn new things and have a passion for good food.

You will be working in an international team, but sometimes also alone. Every cook takes on all existing duties in the kitchen. The capability to function well in a team is important. The cook needs to assist the chef regarding purchasing procedures and in all operational work.

The contract for this employment starts in the end of June and finishes for the season 31 October.
The salary is according to agreement. The company will provide Social Security and insurance according to
Spanish law.
