SecOps Engineer

We are looking for a SecOps Engineer to join us. 

The role will be part of the Security Architecture and Engineering (SAE) team, part of the InfoSec organization. The SAE team creates the security roadmap and strategic view for Verisure Group, and defines and standardizes the security controls, tools and their configurations, alongside the security architectures and designs that developers and engineers must follow. The SAE team is also responsible for defining, maintaining and delivering the security assurance framework, ensuring that our hardware and software products and IT solutions are securely designed, built and deployed. The team mission is highly relevant, as it covers both the thinking and the hands-on needed to create large-scale and long-term impact.

Reporting to the Group Head of Security Architecture & Engineering, this position will be a key member of InfoSec with a critical responsibility to ensure that Verisure customers, employees and stakeholders remain secure. This role works across country borders. Some travel between Madrid and Malmo locations is expected from time to time, although the SAE team is already spread across Spain, Sweden and the UK and works predominantly as a virtual team.

Responsibilities include:

* Analyze, develop and maintain information security governance, including organizational policies, procedures, standards and guidelines with respect to information security.
* Support businesses and technology areas in designing, implementing, deploying, and sustaining systems that start out and remain secure throughout their complete lifecycle.
* Evaluate new threads and potential impacts based on the understanding of vulnerabilities and exploits using knowledge of network operations (firewalls, IDS, WAF, etc.), operating systems (Windows, Linux,…), and application infrastructure (Application/Web Servers, Data bases, Active Directory, etcetera) to select and implement appropriate controls.
* Administer authentication and access controls, including provisioning, changes, and de-provisioning of user and system accounts, access roles and access permissions to information assets.
* Monitor the organization's network and systems for security requirement and determine technical solutions to address them and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them.
* Analyze and respond to information security incidents, including investigation of counter measures to, and recovery from them (computer-based attacks, unauthorized access, data breaches...)

What you bring

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a strong technical security professional with a passion for problem-solving alongside a demonstrable track record working in multicultural and global organizations under agile practices. Along with this, you will need to have significant personal drive and an analytical mindset; with the ability to anticipate risks and creatively resolve bottlenecks proactively.

A SecOps Engineer is expected to have a deep hands-on experience and thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards and technology, as well as best practice security products.

Required Experience
* A pragmatic approach to Information Security developed through hard won experience of at least 5 years.
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure security concepts, including operating systems, network devices and protocols, cloud technologies, and secure data sharing workflows.
* Real expertise in a range of Information Security technologies including:
+ Identity and Access Management
+ Database Security
+ File Integrity Monitoring
+ Network Access Control
+ Threat Intelligence
+ Endpoint Protection
+ Data Loss Prevention
+ Next Generation Firewall technology, both physical and virtual (Palo Alto)
+ Proxy and URL filtering solutions
+ VPN technologies
+ Intrusion Prevention and Detection systems
* Fluent business English.

Desired Qualifications:

* Relevant security certification (e.g. CISSP, Product certifications).
* Fluent business English.
* Familiar with current home security / smart home technologies, future developments and understanding of business models behind them.
* Internet of Things knowledge.
