At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

We are now looking for a team lead to join our Avionics team in Gothenburg.

Your mission

The Section Lead - Avionics has responsibility for the Integrated Avionics System including primary and secondary avionics. You will report to the Head of Avionics Systems. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to the team. As a team leader, you will assist with organizing the team activities.

You will take part in program/technical reviews as well as customer/supplier meetings, ensuring the engineering definition meets all stakeholder requirements. You will also ensure adherence to all engineering processes/standards, and participate in design reviews to meet certification, cost, and schedule goals.
Education/Experience

- Experience of systems integration such as communications, navigation, surveillance, recording and control & indication, air data, recorders etc. (ATA 23, 31 & 34, 45, 46).
- Experience with aircraft avionics system certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
- BS or MS in engineering (Electrical/Electronics).
- Minimum 13 years experience with integrated avionics systems.
- Experience with aircraft avionics system certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).

Specific Skills/Abilities

- Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-178 & 254) is a bonus
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761) is a bonus
- Working knowledge of certification programme is a bonus
- Working knowledge of qualification RTCA standards (DO-160) is a bonus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work within a team environment and to lead a team
- A passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission
