We are now expanding the R&D capability for development of new capture solutions for purification of biomolecules such as mAb variants, viral vectors, mRNA, exosomes, plasmids. We are therefore looking for a Section Manager that can help us to build and lead a team of 10-15 team members for characterization and analysis of the new affinity ligands (eg protein and peptides) as well as end-products. The new team will work in close collaboration with the sections for Affinity Ligand Design and Affinity Ligand Process Development.
What You'll Do
Lead the Affinity Ligand Characterization section in the department for Resins and Ligand Design in BioProcess R&D
Manage personnel, resources, and activities within the section to fulfil project, section, department and R&D goals and priorities
Supply projects with resources according to the needs in term of time and competences, and secure that deliveries from the section are executed in an efficient and timely manner and with appropriate quality and according to agreed standards.
Secure that the competence and know-how of the section members is appropriate to support the organization in the fields the section is responsible for, and that competences are continuously developed via education, seminars, coaching, mentoring and individual developmental plans
Drive the development of the section to improve productivity, establish processes and a strategy to secure long term technology development within the section’s responsibility areas: Characterization and analysis of affinity ligand, such as proteins and peptides, and end-products.

Who you are
A strong people leader preferably with experience from protein analysis
In order to succeed in this position, you need to be result-oriented, flexible and creative with a strong collaborative attitude, focusing on customer needs.
PhD in biology, chemistry, engineering or related Life Science field or equal experience in related fields or equivalent knowledge or experience
5 years of experience of industrial development/R&D preferably in the bioprocess or life science area
Management experience such as project or line management
We are looking for someone with good managerial skills and good ability to motivate, direct and develop people
Swedish and English as working languages
