Our Exciting Opportunity
We work with the latest generation of 5G broadband wireless technology. Within Development Unit Networks, our unit is responsible to systemize, design, implement and test software features for our Ericsson RAN Baseband. This is including key future technologies in the area of Mobile Broad Band such as MIMO, beamforming and mmWave and also breaking new ground utilizing Machine Learning and AI to strengthening out products.
As a Section Manager, you will
Mentor, challenge and develop individuals, teams and the organization. We want you to continue to build and foster a creative and learning culture. As a manager, a large part of your work will be spent in tight co-operation with colleagues in your team, but also with other units, located in Kista, Ottawa and Beijing. This requires a keen interest in people and an ability to empower teams. We also expect you to have the gift and courage of simplifying complex structures, to develop competence and innovation.
You will be a part of the leadership team and report to Department Manager Baseband Development Group in Lund.
You will be responsible for
Driving technology and product leadership
Creating flow optimized environment for the teams
Coaching and mentorship of teams and individuals
Supporting innovation and improvements
Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and learning
What we are looking for
A leader with focus on finding effective and sustainable solutions while being pro-active, empowering, pragmatic and able to make things happen
A person with the ability to motivate people under high workload with good leadership skills
You should have a large degree of flexibility, focus on result and willingness to take on different tasks
An interest and good understanding of the concepts of Lean and Agile ways of working
You should find it stimulating to work with change management, teamwork/cooperation across organizational boundaries, have a genuine interest in people and be a good communicator
Someone with business and customer focus with a high accountability to deliver results.
A person who can work with formulating strategies and concepts
To be successful in the role you must have
Technical education on university level
Experience with real-time embedded/DSP software development and being a team leader or manager in software development
Coaching & Mentoring Skills
Excellent presentation, and argumentation skills
Good English language skills in both writing and conversation is a must
Experience in working with radio baseband or radio protocols is beneficial
