Cab Engineering Gothenburg will reorganize to meet future demands and to secure a product leading position. We increase our capabilities and capacity. Introduce new way of working influenced by agile and lean. Due to expansion, we change our management structure, introducing Section Managers. As Section Manager, you will be a key player in our deliveries and continues improvement. You will be a part of Cab management team and together we develop future cabs for the premium products Volvo FH and FM.


Section Manager Cab Body Gothenburg


Cab Gothenburg develop new and advanced cabs for our future trucks, while continually adapting our current products to different market demands. The development is done with our customers in focus and in a positive and open-minded atmosphere.

The section is responsible for the full product life cycle of the Cab Body area. This includes e.g. BIW (body in white), doors and door components, luggage lid, roof hatch, glass, sealings, grommets, surface treatment and electrical installation on cab body. The team is also responsible for corrosion, material and joining and cab tightness. In actions this means develop product roadmaps for the area, planning and development of engineering solutions and work cross functionally in cooperation with other Volvo GTT engineering offices in order to strengthen the product offering for our customers. You will also lead VDT (vehicle development team) Cab Body.


What will you do?


As Section manager within Cab Engineering, you are expected to take the product ownership of your area with a strong customer focus. You will be responsible for both staff, budget, and the technical development within your area, and handle these in a structured way. You will coach and develop your team both in work related issues but also with their professional development.


We want you to be a leader who lead with vision, give directions, and make decision with CAB Got and your team in focus. With this we also see that you have your employees in focus and support them.


Who are you?


As our preferred candidate you have a MSc in engineer, earlier leadership experience, good knowledge of the product development process within automotive and preferably from car bodies and/or cabs. It is important that you have a positive mind and are interested in developing people as well as technology. You are also expected to have at least 10 years of experience from the automotive industry.
