Section Manager Diagnostics in Diagnostic Engineering – AfterMarket Technology

Role description
At Diagnostic Engineering we have the product ownership for applications (HW and SW), systems and services used to ensure uptime for Volvo Group products operated by our customers. This ownership covers the full lifecycle of our products, including innovation, development, and maintenance. We are now looking for a Section Manager to head one of three pillars that we have built our product ownership foundation upon.
As Section Manager Diagnostics you will lead an operation of 6 group managers, 90 co-workers and several partnerships with other companies. The operation is global and spread in several parts of the world with main sites in Gothenburg, Lyon, Greensboro, Bangalore and Curitiba.
This function within Diagnostic Engineering ensures that all concerned products have the content needed to support maintenance of the ESW and Electronics systems in Volvos products. This entails but is not limited to fault tracing and maintenance operations.
You will in this role be responsible for innovating, developing and maintaining the concerned deliveries from cradle to grave. This also entails strategic and needed operational evolution, always ensuring an efficient and effective setup, fulfilling the needs of Volvos customers as well as Volvo itself as a sustainable operation, at all times. All of this is executed in an Agile way of working.

Your communication skills will be of essence in this role thus you are required to show good skills in verbal and presentation-based communication where English is the main language used.
You have
A MSc. Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar
Minimum 7 years work experience in the domain of Embedded Software and Electronics
Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager in the domain of Embedded Software and Electronics
It is good (but not required) if you also have
Good knowledge about aftermarket is a merit as well as dealer/workshop knowledge
Experience in an Automotive setting is a merit
