Section Manager - Lab Instrument Software

Our SW products, UNICORN and Biacore Insight SW, are essential cornerstones for the success of our BioPharma instruments. The R&D Software department are in an expansion phase, and we are now looking for three Section Managers to facilitate last years of growth within our operations. We are re-structuring the SW department from 5 to 8 sections, and the three areas where we are looking for section managers are UNICORN Software, Lab Instrument Software and Process Instrument Software.

What you’ll do
Lead, support and develop the teams within your section, and manage activities to fulfil short- and long-term organizational goals and priorities, including
o Coaching and development of employees
o Physical and psychosocial work environment
o Recruitment of employees and contractors
Participate in the SW department Management Team and contribute to the department's overall mission, i.e. SW development, product care and support of our SW products for the BioProcess, ÄKTA lab and Biacore systems
Work to ensure cross collaboration within the department, as well as externally towards the other R&D departments and continuously improve our common ways of working
Act as buddy and collaborate with the other section managers in your sub-portfolio to make sure that we fulfil the program/project goals from a SW perspective
Contribute in driving the evolution of software development for life changing therapeutics



Who you are
MSc or similar education in the SW area
Strong experience in relevant SW and System product development
Proven leadership and people management skills with experience from line management or project management
Strong collaboration skills
Genuine interest in developing people and SW solutions
Strong communications skills
Experience of working in a lean and agile development framework
Fluent in Swedish and English
