Section Manager - SMRA Project Management Office

Your role

We are a growing team of project managers within the Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA) department. We are now at a stage where we need the support of a new line manager in the group. Your challenge as a manager will be to continue the development and growth of the section together with the employees regarding operations as well as competence for the future. Most of the work is performed in projects together with other units within Saab, and as a manager, you need to create and uphold good relations with these.

Responsibilities:

* Responsibility for cost centre budget and result
* Personnel responsibility for the team including coaching, feedback, goals and development of individuals and team
* Responsibility for development, improvements, and optimization of processes, methods and tools related to your area of responsibility
* Responsibility for recruitments, communication and information

Required skills:

* B.Sc./M.Sc. (meritorious if for a technical education) or relevant work experience
* Leadership experience
* Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written

Desired skills:

* Documented experience as a manager with staff responsibilities
* Project management experience

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be part of

The Aeronautics business area is an innovative supplier of world-class aircraft systems, advanced aerostructures, and a wide range of support solutions within civil and military aviation. The business area researches, develops, and produces military aviation systems. We are building for the future through research and studies into innovative flight systems and the further development of our products.

You will be a part of the extended Management Team for the department Special Mission & Regional Aircraft that is a part of the business unit Aviation Services within the business area Aeronautics.

The department consists of about 240 employees mainly placed in Tannefors, Linköping. However, we also have people in USA and other countries where customers operates our aircrafts. We are an integrated part of the programs for Special Mission Aircraft and we have the direct contract responsibility for our civil aircraft operators and owners.
