Security Engineer

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join us. 

The role will be part of the Security Architecture and Engineering (SAE) team, part of the InfoSec organization. The SAE team creates the security roadmap and strategic view for Verisure Group, and defines and standardizes the security controls, tools and their configurations, alongside the security architectures and designs that developers and engineers must follow. The SAE team is also responsible for defining, maintaining and delivering the security assurance framework, ensuring that our hardware and software products and IT solutions are securely designed, built and deployed. The team mission is highly relevant, as it covers both the thinking and the hands-on needed to create large-scale and long-term impact.

Reporting to the Group Head of Security Architecture & Engineering, this position will be a key member of InfoSec with a critical responsibility to ensure that Verisure customers, employees and stakeholders remain secure. The role can be based in Malmo – Sweden (preferably) or Madrid – Spain and works across country borders. Some travel between Madrid and Malmo locations is expected from time to time, although the SAE team is already spread across Spain, Sweden and the UK and works predominantly as a virtual team.

Responsibilities include:
* Product owner of security solutions and tools, defining features, managing and optimizing the product backlog, and setting priorities and roadmap.
* Build and test security solutions and tools in coordination with security operations and IT teams.
* Standardise the configuration and policies of global security solutions to ensure consistent and realiable implementation across all Verisure geographies and business units.
* Communicate to key stakeholders and IT teams technical decisions and deliverables to ensure the security solutions and tools are adopted properly.
* Contribute to large-scale InfoSec transformation programs to enhance the overall security posture of Verisure.

Along with this, you will need to have significant personal drive and an analytical mindset; with the ability to anticipate risks and creatively resolve bottlenecks proactively.

A Security Engineer is expected to have a deep hands-on experience and thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards and technology, as well as best practice security products.

Required Experience

* +5 years of experience designing and building security solutions in large enterprises and hybrid environments, in some of the following areas: endpoint detection and response (EDR), antivirus/antimalware, network access control (NAC), email security, vulnerability management, mobile device management (MDM), security monitoring and response.
* Good knowledge of the security landscape, market and key vendors.
* Experience in technology road mapping and strategic thinking.
* Good working knowledge of current IT risks.
* Experience working async in a geo-distributed team with different methods: Kanban, Scrum, etc.
* Working with Infosec teams and Business Product Owners to achieve alignment between InfoSec and Business change objectives.
* Strong communication skills to gather requirements, discuss technical solutions and agree on key decisions with IT and Business stakeholders.
* Design and development of generic security guidelines, ensuring that systems remain compliant.
* Extensive InfoSec experience and/or IT Risk Management; focus on security, performance & reliability.
* Written and spoken Fluency in English.
