Security Engineer

In this role as a Security Engineer you will report to the Head of IT-Security. The assignment will be broad as any threat or vulnerability finding is in scope no matter what platform or technology the finding originates from. Therefore you will need to work very close with the other security engineers and experts in other parts of the central Security Team, but also with the engineering teams across Schibsted and the external security operation center (SOC), to ensure that threats and vulnerabilities are handled not only in a correct and standardized way but also in a timely manner.
Within the role there is a central mandate on making sure that identified threats and vulnerabilities are taken care of to ensure the overall Cybersecurity Posture for Schibsted.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Improve our overall capability to manage identified threats and detected vulnerabilities in a correct and standardized way but also in a timely manner
- Give operational guidance to the all engineering teams across Schibsted in managing identified threats and detected vulnerabilities
- Run incident response process for critical vulnerabilities possibly affecting multiple brands
- Help creating a center of excellence on external cybersecurity threats and threat actors for Schibsted
- Be the primary contact for threat identification and analysis in cooperation with our Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Support threat and vulnerability management initiatives across Schibsted - from idea to rollout
- Document and create supporting tools and templates on how in a standardized way manage vulnerability alerts and threats in Schibsted
- A security evangelist across Schibsted to promote, change and integrate security threat and vulnerability management into all our products, applications, platforms and processes

Skills and Requirements:

- Good understanding in the ever changing Cybersecurity threat and vulnerability landscape
- Hands on experience with threat and vulnerability management
- Ability to proactively solve problems and react to security challenges in real-time
- Excellent skills in spoken and written English
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Areas of responsibilities include data & technology strategy, privacy/data trends/responsible data & machine learning, information security and internal IT.
