About this opportunity
Telecom networks are evolving rapidly across a broad technological environment which includes virtualization, disaggregation, cloud, AI, IoT and Industry 4.0. At the same time there is an increasing focus on security both in the industry as well as with regulators and legislators. To meet the challenges this generates Ericsson is consolidating a Security Transformation Capability to reach the wanted position of having “Security embedded, integrity delivered”.
To support the organization to reach the wanted position for security, a Security Operations Organization is being set-up in R&D in Business Unit Networks (BNEW) to strengthen Ericsson’s competence within security assurance. It is vital for Ericsson that our culture and capabilities ensure that high security standards are embedded in all products and processes, making us the industry’s preferred partner.
The new Security Operations Organization is being established as a key function, with one direct report to the Head of Operations. The Security line organization will be engaged in driving research, analysis, and development to enable the R&D organization to take on the execution of security related topics.

What you will do
Build, mentor and develop a result and delivery-oriented team
Engage with key stakeholders and build collaboration between teams by initiating and supporting needed communities and networks
Together with the Leadership Team, drive the long-term strategy of the program by engaging in strategic discussions
Engage in proactive analyses related to security trends and geopolitical landscape
Evaluating and facilitating the prioritization of Security initiatives based on value delivered (i.e., the aim is to raise the bar for Security for example by incorporating internal/external requirements, enabling change and improvements in the development organization, increasing security awareness and competence in Ericsson.)
Ensuring the quality/completeness of inbox backlog items to enable prioritization and further progress
Planning, reviewing, and updating future initiatives in the Security Roadmap to ensure an up-to-date planning horizon
Analyzing the capacity to take on additional security initiatives in order to improve efficiency and prevent work overload
You will bring
Master’s degree or higher within Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Previous experience from a managerial position or leading programs and/or large projects
Ability to drive transformational change in a complex organization
Comprehensive knowledge of product and project management
Experience from working with a variety of security related topics
Entrepreneurial approach and innovative thinking
10+ years of working experience in similar area or position
Experience from the telecom sector is meriting
