Security Specialist

The U.S. Embassy in Stockholm is seeking an individual for the position of Security Specialist in the Security Section.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Provides security for US Government facilities and employees. Observe, detect and report unusual or suspicious activities directed towards the American Embassy or its personnel. Provides an event assessment to Regional Security Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

. Completion of secondary school or security school.
. Prior security experience and knowledge of security-related equipment.
. Ability to work independently or in group and adapt to changing circumstances without requiring guidelines or motivation.
. Must have a strong observation, organizational and computer knowledge.
. Level 3 (Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish is required. Level 3 (Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
. Valid driver's license, minimum Class B is required.

SELECTION PROCESS

The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a limited security clearance.
