What you will do
With Gothenburg as your primary location you will take the lead in driving the engineering services segment within Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing. Engineering Services Purchasing supports the entire Volvo Group related to Product Development and electrification to name a few. The supplier base is global, and the segment has an annual spend of around 4 bSEK.
Some interesting elements in your job are:
• Be responsible for development and implantation of the segment strategy.
• Ensure alignment with key stakeholders of the R&D functions of the Volvo Group - for which your business acumen and people management is vital for success.
• Actively contribute to the team development, supporting your peers and coaching buyers when relevant.
• Lead Global segment negotiations and/or support Project & Commodity buyers as escalation in negotiations or supplier issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and facilitate the segment’s performance by focusing on sustainability, quality and cost to name a few strategic parameters.

• You are solution-oriented and can simplify complex topics.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills.
• You know how to prepare and lead a negotiation successfully.
• Experience from strategic supply chain development, contingent workforce management or similar is meriting.
• You have an adequate academic education.
