Volvo is one of the leading brands when it comes to energy saving software functions. With the I-See system drivers all over the world can save energy which both reduces environmental impact as well as creating good customer value. Now we want to take more steps to create an even better customer experience.

The purpose of this thesis work is to evaluate and conclude which possibilities exists- and are feasible to use to adapt functional behaviour, based on driver interactions. The plan is to monitor driver inputs both when functions are active and inactive and utilize the data collected to adapt future actions from the function.
The exact goals of the project are to be defined as the thesis starts, but a preliminary list of goals include:
Study the state of the art literature on machine learning and adaptable systems
Investigate and conclude possible ways to create adaptability for the functional input.
Implement and test the solution online in vehicle in confined environment

To be successful in this Thesis work we hope you have studied, Systems, Control and Mechatronics, Data Science, Mechanical engineering, Physics or similar. No previous experience with the automotive industry is needed but seen as a merit. The thesis work is recommended for two students.
