We are on the lookout for a Senior 3D Artist to join our multinational and accomplished art team. This role has a big impact on the visual direction of our games due to our small team sizes. We make all of our decisions in-house and within the game teams. You will be a key contributor to one of Rovio Sweden’s biggest upcoming titles in years, take part in an agile, empathetic working culture where we highly value how we interact and how we discover new ways of working together.
The whole team is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and plan to work in a hybrid model, meaning they’ll plan to work flexibly with 1-3 days per week onsite and the rest of the week can be at home or at the office. We have a Nomad program which allows you to work from everywhere for 2 months in a 12 months consecutive rolling period.
Responsibilities:
Sculpt, model and texture high quality assets for stylized games from start to implementation in Unity.
Discuss, plan and contribute with your valuable experience in how to make games from the ground up for current and upcoming titles.
Who we think will do great in this role has:
Experience in working with stylized 3D art for games
A portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of stylized art
Proficiency in Maya/Blender & ZBrush
Good skills in texturing with softwares such as Substance Painter
Experience in implementing and being hands on in game engines
Team-work driven mindset, communication skills, and problem-solving skills in order to work efficiently with other game team members to achieve the best game quality together
Ability to work independently and manage own work effectively
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Recruitment process:
First meeting: You will meet the hiring manager. The aim is for us to know who you are, what your experience has been and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn about Rovio, the wider team and the specifics of the role.
Second round: You will meet Technical Artists for a technical interview. The purpose is to understand your technical skills, for example experience in optimization and implementation.
Final round: You will be invited to meet some other Artists. Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help each other develop.
