We are now looking for a Senior Accountant & Credit Control to join our Global Business Services department. This role is placed at HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. The purpose of this position is to be the key person and overall coordinator for credit risk related matters within OTC for applicable markets. This role will also own the responsibility to provide highly qualitative and timely transactional and judgmental accounting services according to internal and external requirements. This person will join our team on an exciting transformation journey within Finance where you will be a part of supporting and driving the establishment forward, in particular within the credit risk operation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Execution of OTC accounting activities in general, e.g:
Manage account receivable,
MSP requests
Creation of manual intercompany / invoices
Incoming customer payments
Dunning
Account receivable reconciliations

Execution of credit risk activities in particular, e.g:
Calculate and assess customer credit worthiness
Document supporting material of and being able to communicate the outcome/decision, both to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and efficient manner
Go-to person for other team members and overall coordinator in credit risk related matters

Continuous process improvements in the OTC area in general and in the credit risk / account receivable area in particular though ad-hoc projects and initiatives, addressing suggested improvements to the Team Manager and Global Process Developer.

KEY DECISIONS
Decisions solely
Customer credit approval in line with thresholds/policies

Decision as part of the team
Joint decision with other stakeholders, e.g. local entities, Group Treasury, GBS OTC team, etc. to approve customers deviating from thresholds/policies, improvements within the credit risk area of GBS, etc.


CAPABILITIES; QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Self-motivated and driven team player, being able to deliver under tight deadlines
Continuous improvements and self-development/learning mindset
Bachelor of Science in Economics, Business Administration and/or Financial Accounting
3+ years of working experience in OTC accounting and/or credit control
Experience utilizing reporting tools for credit risk
Good analytical and numeracy skills, being able to understand, execute and present calculations and its outcome/result(s)
Excellent skills in and being able to adapt communication both to internal and external stakeholder/receiver(s)
A profound interest in digitalization, with solid knowledge and experience in SAP as a plus
