Senior Accountant/ Redovisningsekonom

Sheraton Stockholm Hotel, located in the heart of Stockholm City is with its 465 guest rooms, restaurant, bar and conference facilities for up to 700 guests, one of Stockholm's largest international first class hotels. We are now looking for a Senior Accountant with an excellent finance expertise to join our accounting team.

Requirements:
- A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance
- A minimum of 3 years of previous work experience with General Ledger and Fixed Assets
- Excellent knowledge of SAP General Ledger and fixed assets SAP module
- Expert in Swedish Local GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent Excel skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Fluency in English and Swedish language.

Your main Responsibilities will be to:
- Assist Director of Finance and Assistant Controller in timely preparation of monthly financial statements for the property
- Maintain & reconcile all accrual expenses with backups and prepaid schedules for appropriate allocation
- Ensure timely completion and review of monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations for owner books
- Ensure timely accounting for and completion of fixed assets and maintain the fixed asset register
- Liaise with Department Heads and Accounts Payable in order to maintain the capital project register
- Review financial reports in accordance with reporting calendars and ensure that all reports are submitted on a timely basis.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules and coordinate with external and internal auditors in the completion of their field work. Assist in the completion and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with Starwood Accounting Policies and Procedures and internal controls for finance and operations
- Ensure compliance with Swedish GAAP for hotel/owner books as well as fixed assets
