Group function Reporting and Accounting at Skanska's Headquarters in Stockholm is looking for a person with solid knowledge in accounting and financial reporting/analysis. As a Senior Accountant you are a part of the Accounting team who is responsible for Skanska Financial Services (SFS) and Skanska AB´s legal accounts. Currently the team consists of five persons situated in Stockholm, all reporting to Head of Accounting.
Skanska AB is Skanska Group´s parent company meanwhile SFS is the internal bank. The SFS Group consists of four companies, including an insurance company and one entity in the USA.

Job description
As a Senior Accountant you are responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting of consolidated financial statements as well as follow ups. This includes accounting of financial instruments and hedge accounting according to IFRS 9. You are responsible for preparation of annual report, the interim statements and the yearly review of Solvency II reporting. The role also includes preparation and analysis of variances to budget/forecast for Skanska HQ and securing compliance to applicable accounting standards, IFRS and Skanska Accounting. You are the main contact for our auditors, and you are responsible for coordinating the audits. Further you will be highly involved in, and act as project lead, in various development projects and as a Senior you will also function as a support to accountants in your team.
Your Profile
We believe that the ideal candidate for this position has a strong background from accounting and financial reporting preferably from a larger organization. Experience from accounting in a financial company, corporate treasury or audit firm is an advantage but not a must. University degree in accounting, business or equivalent and good communication- and presentation -skills in English is required. And of course, you are an excellent user of financial systems and Excel.
As a person you have a proactive mindset, analytical skills and good business understanding. You are structured and able to plan and prioritize in an efficient manner. Your curiosity, your drive to learn and your social skills will make you successful in this role. Since the Accounting team is working closely together, we are looking for a solutions-oriented person with a positive attitude and excellent collaboration skills.
