Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Your place of work will be at our main office and hangar facility. This is located at Säve Airport in Gothenburg, Sweden. Relocation assistance can be provided. We seek experienced and skilled professionals to join our small, fast moving team developing a new electric aircraft in Sweden. We’re in a very expansive phase and now is the time to join our team.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Advanced Design Engineer to join our Advanced Prototyping Team. You will be working in a small and very multidisciplinary team involved in a broad range of prototyping activities. We expect you to enjoy taking on difficult challenges and finding innovative solutions, adapt readily to changes, and be motivated and driven to continually learn and improve. Also, you are expected to be highly proficient and passionate about CAD design and would be working with both airframe and system installations.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Support multidisciplinary aircraft conceptual study activities developing lofts and internal structures

Lead CAD design activities within the Advanced Prototyping Team

Propose and conduct trade studies for the optimization of manufacturability, cost and lead time

Perform structural analysis of components and assemblies

-
Propose and support the execution of tests

-
Support colleagues working in the workshop and hangar


Qualifications & Experience:

-
Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

-
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Solidworks and Catia v5

-
Minimum 10 years of advanced aircraft design experience

-
Experience with stress analysis and finite element method

-
Experience with design, analysis, and manufacturing of composite materials

-
Experience in aircraft conceptual and preliminary design phases

-
Good understanding of aircraft production and assembly methods and processes

-
A start-up mindset and self-motivation are a must

-
Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

Eagerness to work with others

Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission
