Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities)
The British Embassy in Sweden is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a full-time Senior Investment Adviser Capital Infrastructure. Main responsibilities will include: the role of a Senior Investment Adviser focus on Capital Infrastructure to secure investments from Swedish institutional investors, corporate and developers matching UK needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Close contact with existing Swedish and UK contacts in the sector and also identify new potential leads of Swedish companies looking to invest in the UK infrastructure and regeneration sectors. Approach Swedish contacts/leads and match with UK opportunities;
- Hold events in Sweden and the UK to highlight UK as an investment destination; run missions, arrange speaking engagements/round-table networking opportunities for high profile UK visitors to market including planning and documentation necessary for guest induction i.e brief writing, programme admin, sector analysis, invitation of guests and liaison with Swedish/UK service stakeholders engaged;
- Contribute to the wider DIT Investment Team and also other DIT Teams including Embassy Prosperity Team objectives and targets. Support and take active role in events/activities run across the Embassy.
Essential qualifications and experience
- University degree, Business/Economics or applicable subject;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience;
- A self-starter, with the ability to organise self and work effectively;
- Be able to take responsibility and use initiative to deliver high quality work;
- Deliver to tight deadlines, work effectively and supportively on objectives and
targets;
- Understand and focus on customer needs;
- Availability to travel when needed;
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish;
- Good IT skills (Microsoft proficient).
