Who we are
Our ART (department), Painted Body, consists of 22 agile, empowered teams within body engineering, surface treatment, material and joining as well as labels. We work close together with both internal and external stake holders to deliver excellent attribute performance and paint quality.
Within the Surface Treatment area, we are divided into three groups; Surface Products, Corrosion Protection and Coating Systems. Our technical expertise consists of body adhesives, sealing materials, sound damping, corrosion protection, pre-treatment and exterior paint systems. We are also responsible for the attribute Paint & Finish. Surface Treatment Centre is our global analysis and verification centre for Surface Treatment materials within Volvo Car Group. We work with all from car body analysis with focus on corrosion to complete vehicle exterior colour matching.  We also support running production with analyses when disturbances occur and often participate in international and national research projects.  

What you will do
In this role as senior analysis engineer, you will belong to the group Surface Products and the Team Adhesives & Sealants. Your main responsibilities will be planning as well as performing and reporting analyses and tests on different types of adhesives and sealants systems. You will also take on the material responsibility for the sealing materials and the sprayable noise, vibration and harshness materials. This includes the development and introduction of improved materials in our plants. Working as an analysis engineer within the surface treatment means that you will establish and develop relationships with a variety of system areas and customers globally. You will work in close collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement, and you will be responsible for keeping technical contact with suppliers. As part of our great team, you get access to long term development opportunities in the challenging and exciting area of surface treatment. Your daily work is quality focused. You will develop testing and analysis skills, including use of different instruments and equipment.

Qualifications
•    M.Sc in Chemistry/Materials or equivalent (university degree)
•    At least 10 years experience within the surface treatment and adhesives area including test and verification in lab environment
•    Experience from project management and technical leadership skills
•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•    Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key
•    Experience of the agile way of working
