Senior Analyst - Complete Vehicle Aerodynamics

Aerodynamics is key to minimize energy consumption and our strive for more energy efficient transport solutions. We need to strengthen our team and we are now searching for a Senior Analyst – Complete Vehicle Aerodynamic that can contribute to generate and analyze innovative aerodynamics concepts.


Who are we?
In our team Vehicle Performance and Analytics, we are evolving and optimizing transport solutions through vehicle concepts and performance evaluation. We have expertise knowledge in the simulation fields of aerodynamics, noise, crash, optimization and data analytics. Furthermore, we provide methods, tools and support in way of working in our areas of responsibilities.


We have a strong focus in Advanced Engineering, while as experts, we also support industrialization part of the product development. Within the team, we perform CFD simulations and develop methodology for supporting the increasingly important virtual product development.


Responsibilities and Main tasks
You are an expert within CFD analysis and aerodynamics field, able to analyze and develop aerodynamic concepts and ideas in reducing aerodynamic drag of our vehicles.


You will work with an experienced team of experts and in close cooperation with the product development organization to develop and propose modifications that reduce drag. You will evaluate concepts from a performance as well as complexity and feasibility point of view and by that being part of developing strategies & road map for technology development in the aerodynamics area.


You will also be responsible for communication and delivery within development projects executed in the organization, both in long- and near-term perspective.


Who are you?
We expect you to be a person with strong analytical skills and a will to deliver. We see that you as the candidate have excellent knowledge and understanding of fluid dynamics, aerodynamic and experience from automotive industry. Besides this you like you like to interact with different functions in a large global organization and have good presentation skills. A positive mindset “can do attitude” and team work characterizes your personal profile.


•You are holding M.Sc. or PhD degree in engineering applied mechanics or equivalent education applicable together with several years of professional experience
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
•If you have proven skills related to coding and scripting this is considered meritorious


You have good knowledge about or are very motivated to learn and use various CFD analysis tools, e.g Star CCM+, Ansa, Powerflow, Open foam, Fluent etc.


The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden
