Senior Analyst - Financial Institutions Analysis, Credit Analysis

We are now looking for a senior analyst to join the CA/FIA team, part of Credit Analysis within SEB Merchant Banking. Credit Analysis provides the bank’s global network with independent credit analysis.

As a FIA analyst, you will be part of a professional and ambitious team of 5 analysts. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting analyses and recommendations on the bank’s hedge fund and broker-dealer relationships on behalf of Client Coverage’s FIG. You will also have frequent interaction with SEB Markets on structured transactions as part of the deal team.

We are now seeking to recruit a Senior Analyst to the FIA team within Credit Analysis. The position is located in Stockholm city and you will maintain regular contact with clients both domestic and international, which involves travelling.



Your opportunity:


A specialist position within SEB towards the dynamic international hedge fund industry, where you are expected to lead and develop the work and interaction between related departments
review of financial institutions with emphasis on hedge funds and work with funding linked to various transactions
Prepare and present in-depth credit analysis to all level of credit committees
Participate in market development discussions within the department and SEB Markets
Conclude in precise opinions under time pressure
Be proactive in customer contact and make assessments of the creditworthiness of the bank's customers and make recommendations on transaction-related issues
Collaborate closely with the bank's international clients, which can mean a couple of trips a month


 

Your background:


MSc in engineering or business administration or equivalent
Minimum five years of relevant experience from the financial industry
Extensive experience and understanding of trading instruments and financial analysis skills
Strong knowledge about the hedge fund industry
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in English - written and oral
Have an open mind, be curious and enjoy team work
