About our R&D - Platform Integration & Release
We have come to an important step in the development of our new software-centric platform. Test and integration on the complete software and electronics system level are highly prioritized. The mission in our team is to bring integration-driven development and test into product creation to continuously demonstrate that we deliver the best electrical system in the automotive world. We are also held responsible to secure a stable and robust electrical system for Volvo Car’s new SW and electronics platforms
We are now looking for a colleague who can help us bring it all together from SW development, to embedded SW integration in a continuous integration and automatic testing flow to well defined release candidates in car products.

You are passionate about creating and balancing new ways to get everything configured with the right association. You have a solid SWF background and an extensive hand on practice on how to create Configuration Management solutions. You have a passion for embedded software systems and large-scale embedded SW development organizations. You seek to continuously improve the efficiency and drive the transformation to a digitalized way of working by moving from manual to automatic data driven methods. Collaboration and networking come natural to you as well as the goal that our software- and electronics- architecture and processes should enable our business. You are communicative and can use suitable value argumentation in dialogue with both product managers, stakeholders and when empowering the test and integration developers.
What’s in it for you?
As an Architect with focus on Configuration Management you will be part of a team that will drive the roadmap and implementation of configuration management from an integration perspective. You will be part of Volvo Car Corporation SWF since it is all dependent on each other to make sure it all fits together. The team will also be responsible for the correct requirements driven from an integration perspective into the DevOps (tool chain). The team also have accountability for continuous integration and test planning up until release candidate. define a common technical and architectural vision and roadmap for the solution in terms of complete SW and electronics integration including frameworks. You follow configuration management process and deliveries in the organization to adopt and bring in new innovations and make sure they create business value.
Do you fit the profile?
* M.Sc in Electrial and Software Engineering or similar relevant experience
* At least 10 years of experience from working with configuration management from an embedded software system perspective including software test and integration
* Configuration Management from large scale software product development including hands on experienc
* Knowledge and experience in how to create and drive roadsmaps, vision and steps to get there
* Software coding experience

* Ability to make sense of complex high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems

Meritorious:
* Experience within automotive and from working in an international environment
* Agile frameworks and development such as SAFe.
* Driver’s license (B-level)
