The Allergy Applications group at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Uppsala is an interdisciplinary team of 11 driven and engaged colleagues that belongs to the R&D Allergy department. The group has design and development responsibility for the lateral flow and microarray IVD products. We are now looking to expand and further strengthen our group with a new colleague.

This position is within the ImmunoDiagnostic Division in Uppsala, Sweden. Our division has around 1600 employees worldwide and is market leader withing diagnostic tests for allergy and autoimmune diseases. We have our headquarter in Uppsala where we also have our research and development as well as manufacturing for all our allergy diagnostics products.

How will you make an impact?
We are seeking a passionate and driven senior assay developer to join our Allergy Applications group. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to support key functions in both product and process development. You will be involved in developing new products within the allergy diagnostics field, ensuring product quality, optimizing production processes, and providing technical and scientific support within the organization.

What will you do?
· Subject matter expert in in assay development and technology with focus our ImmunoCAP products especially ImmunoCAP ISAC.
· Support the department in scientific questions related to current and new immunoassay development and troubleshooting.
· Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics that are commercially relevant for our business.
· Conduct literature research and contribute to writing and reviewing scientific literature.
· Lead product development, Product care activities, technology assessments and innovation activities.
· Collaborate cross functional with Medical and Scientific Affairs department in clinical related questions.
· Mentor colleagues within your area of expertise and contribute to their professional development.

How will you get here?
Education:
· A Master of Science degree, or equivalent work experience, in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field. A PhD in a relevant area is a merit.
Experience:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in assay and product development within the immunodiagnostics field.
· Experience with production processes within the IVD area is a merit
· Experience with regulatory and quality related activities within the IVD area is a merit

· Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills, including presentation of scientific results in a clear, concise, and accurate way.
· Strong collaboration skills and cross functional work experience

· Must be organized and detail oriented to be able to prioritize own and other’s work and meet business priorities.
· Passionate about solutions for patient centered diagnostic.
· Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English
