This role is not about manual testing, nor is it about writing tests for the software itself. This role is about building automation that runs tests and manages its infrastructure and creating tools, scripts and frameworks that enable developers to write tests themselves. Through this role, you will help Volvo Cars increase the quality and reduce the risk of releasing their software through automation.

Our customer are looking for an engineer to join their team with experience in building a scalable system environment with a focus on quality and fast feedback. If you have worked within HIL development, it’s meritorious!

About the Company
SWEP Domain Test & Integration is developing test environments for new platforms and programs within the Volvo Cars business unit - Software & Electronic Platform (SWEP). They design rigs and provide test infrastructures for software and electronic integration. The rigs will continuously integrate (CI) and provide feedback on the electrical system to enable high quality and robustness. This is achieved by working with simulations and quality assuring the delivery.

What will you do?
As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the entire process from the design of the rigs to fault tracing and maintenance. You will be a part of improving tools and processes to be able to increase efficiency when scaling up the number of rigs.

This team creates health and regression tests and connects rigs to CI toolchain, to make sure that their rigs meet their own and other stakeholders' test needs.

Who are you?
We require a candidate with at least a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Additionally, you must have experience with scalable system environments and be proficient in Python for automation purposes. Familiarity with CANoe and CAPL is also essential. We expect you to have a system-thinking approach to scaling and quality assurance, enabling you to understand the big picture of our environment.

You are skilled in communication and have the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders. We see that you can work in an agile team, are proactive, creative, driven, willing to share knowledge and take responsibility to fit our team.

Qualifications:

- Experience with scalable system environment

- Proficient in Python and CAPL scripting

- DevOps tools

Meritorious:

- Experience in automotive electrical architectures and protocols

- Worked with HIL rigs and automated test systems in Vector rigs

- Experience from working with Agile development process
