The team is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and it comprises professionals with diverse backgrounds, including people from renowned start-ups and global tech giants like Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna, and King.

We are seeking a mid-senior level backend developer with strong Java expertise to join our highly skilled cross-functional product team. This position offers the opportunity for long-term growth in a rapidly expanding field where you can directly impact customer satisfaction.

What You’ll do

In this role, you will drive innovation in our customer experience by developing backend services primarily using REST APIs and managing large-scale data. You will be a pivotal member of a vertical product team, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers, UX designer, and QA specialist. Our team is dedicated to crafting a web application tailored to the unique needs of users responsible for overseeing a fleet of over 25,000 operational lease cars across multiple European countries. Our primary focus is on ensuring the optimal care and maintenance of these vehicles, preserving their residual value, and facilitating the growth of the operational lease fleet without proportionate cost increases.

What you’ll bring

We're looking for an experienced backend engineer with a strong track record of working on product developments. Your deep understanding of Java, microservices, and cloud technologies is vital, and any background in data-related technologies is a plus. You should be comfortable working on a platform with a Docker/Kubernetes/Cloud setup.
Success in this role requires a proactive and collaborative approach, the ability to tackle complex challenges, and the capability to drive and create commitment. You should also possess integrity and a change management mindset
