Senior Battery Verification and Validation plan leader

We belong to the Energy Storage System section, part of Volvo Groups’ electromobility division. We develop and lead the Energy storage system product portfolio for Volvo Group globally.
At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the Energy Storage System, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase including the quality management of all our products.

What will you do?


You will have the opportunity and responsibility to define and secure the battery verification and validation plans to ensure top-class quality of our batteries for our end customers.
You will be the go-to expert and owner of the generic verification and validation plan for all our different battery products. You will lead, consolidate, and maintain the generic verification and validation plan and methodology within Energy Storage Systems for our battery system and components. This includes full development, derivate development, design updates and production updates of batteries. To be able to consolidate and maintain the verification and validation plan you will be working in a large network both internal Energy Storage Systems with different technology teams but also external towards other areas within the Volvo group organization. You will drive and advance the Energy Storage validation and verification planning and monitoring tools, processes, and methodology.

Who are you?


You are a senior expert in validation and verification or a verification leader of electrical and electronic components or battery systems in the automotive industry. We believe that to be successful in this position you need to have a structured mindset with the ability to generate ideas and have a can-do attitude. We also believe that you have a strong drive to meet customer expectations on quality and reliability, the ability to initiate change and decide on facts. You are also well organized and structured with the ability to drive things to completion, actively striving to spread your knowledge and expertise to others.

You also have:
Min 5 years of experience as verification and validation leader of high voltage electrical/ electronic or systems within the automotive industry
Experience in battery system and component verification/validation
MSc in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronic, Mechanical, or similar.
Fluent in English

Meritorious:
Experience from design in system or component within battery systems
Knowledge in Volvo Group development and quality processes.
