The Role


Energy Storage Systems Component Verification is a new group within the Electromobility Test & Verification organization, with the responsibility of providing data to Product Owners within the ESS design organization. We are looking for a senior battery verification engineer with a passion for trying out new technologies, continuously improving and in the end contributing to creating better solutions that bring value to our company.


Testing will be performed both in-house and at external locations, while travelling is required from time to time.


Depending on the candidate's profile and interests the major responsibilities for this role would be the following:
Work with advanced thermal or mechanical, or electrochemical measurements on battery cells and modules
Be responsible for the roadmap of the above areas, including investment needs
Participate in the purchasing process for new instrumentation, including gathering requirements and analyzing supplier responses
Evaluate supplier responses for work packages (e.g. for testing activities at external test facilities)
Active participation in our continuous improvement work.

The assignment includes but is not limited to:
Battery cell and module testing according to test specification
Planning of verification scope and developing test specifications
Execution of test according to test spec
Develop methods for test set-up and verification of hardware
Post processing of data
Test reporting, etc.

To succeed in this role, you will require
Component or system test and verification experience from thermal, mechanical, or electrochemical testing
Experience from automotive industry
Experience of electromobility and/or battery testing is very beneficial
Experience of roadmap development and maintenance
