Senior Bioinformatician

TATAA is a fast-growing company with two decades of history and is backed by a life sciences investment firm. The company is comprised of a team of scientists providing laboratory services, products and education / training services across a broad range of nucleic acid analysis technologies including PCR, NGS and proteomics. The company serves a variety of pharma, biotech and academic customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to get involved early on in setting up TATAA for its next phase of growth.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
TATAA is recruiting a passionate cross functional senior bioinformatician. The position is with TATAAs Bioinformatics unit, which is developing and improving TATAAs internal analysis pipelines, coordinates third party software, analyzing and interpreting data produced by the Customer Service team and delivers high end quality reports in a wide range of NGS applications.

Responsibilities
• Develop new bioinformatic approaches.
• Validation and updating of computational methods in internal analysis pipelines.
• Integration and automation of analyses on cloud.
• Preclinical and clinical data processing and review.
• Drive the execution and delivery of data and analysis by collaborating with wet-lab scientists and quality teams.
• Prioritize and complete multiple parallel projects.



KVALIFIKATIONER
Minimum qualifications
• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Biology or related field.
• 3+ years post doctoral experience working with NGS analysis, with increasing responsibility, in biotech/pharma or CRO industry, or accomplished computational biology experience in academia.
• Experience in using general purpose and statistical computer languages (e.g. R, Python) to build pipelines, manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience in project management and track record for executing and delivering according to timelines.
• Effective writer and communicator with the ability to deliver high impact internal and external presentations, as well as documentation skills to maintain software.
• Experience in planning experiments and studies in collaboration with experimental teams with focus on molecular analyses.

Desired additional qualifications
• Strong background in statistics.
• Experience in multi-omics.
• Experience in single-cell transcriptomics.
