Senior Boost Electronics Engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

We invented a new thing, and that’s a thing!

A solar cell technology that enables endless energy. Not only will it change the world, but it also means you will work with leading technology, science, and machines - all under the same roof in our urban factories. Exeger is making sustainable energy more accessible for people around the globe. Our vision is to touch the lives of a billion people by 2030.

WHAT WE DO

We invent, engineer, and produce world-changing technology to improve everyday life. We have re-invented the third generation of dye-sensitized solar cells. The next leap of individual freedom is transforming all forms of light into clean, endless electrical energy. We collaborate with global partners that integrate our unique material, Powerfoyle™ into their products to make them self-powered.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are now looking for a Senior Boost Electronics Engineer that will focus on developing efficient boost converter and DC/DC electronics solutions that is needed to efficiently harvest the energy produced by our solar cells.
You will join a small but growing team of passionate, dedicated, and specialized Electronics Engineers.

This is a crucial part of overall system performance and needed to build our great solar power products. We develop our own ASICS, boost optimization and novel MPP tracking algorithms as well as with other PMIC partner companies to be able to adapt their solutions to our unique solar cell. All with a mission to help our customers achieve the best possible outcome and offer them the best possible reference design. We also look at energy storage and power consumption.

You should be passionate about electronics development and interested in deep technical specialization within boost converters and ultra-low power designs.
You probably have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in electronics or similar. Passion and drive is more important than formal education though. You are curios and self-driven and want to tackle and solve challenging problems within hardware and firmware. You are hands on and love to measure and not only design as the two go hand in hand.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Developing new efficient boost electronic hardware reference designs
• Developing, implementing, and testing new boost converter mpp tracking algorithms and methods
• Benchmarking and optimizing third party boost convert solutions
• Developing tools for efficient boost converter optimization and configuration
• Working with customers and partners on complex boost converter and low power electronics integration issues
• Develop simulation tools for boost converter and solar cell behavior and optimization

WHAT TO EXPECT
We primarily work in Altium for electronics design and for firmware its typically low-level programing in C. We like GIT and JIRA. MATLAB/Octave is fun and so is Spice and COMSOL and other simulation tools although we do not use them enough at the moment.

You should be, or strive to be, world class in boost module development. Getting converter efficiency and robustness up is equally important to optimizing the solar cell after all.

We work closely with our colleagues in solar cell R&D to look at systems behavior.

We are based in Stockholm but we also have key team members in the Netherlands so some amount of travel will be expected. As well as occasional trips to our HK/SC office and partners around the globe.

EXEGERIANS

We are offering a multicultural workplace, where we constantly strive to evolve as employees and create a great atmosphere. Your contribution will be important. At Exeger we also strive to have a great sense of belonging and team spirit. You will join truly engaged, solution-oriented and curious colleagues in a constant growing and innovative company. We have R&D, Operations, Go-to market, and Corporate Function divisions all under the same roof.

WHAT NOW

Please send your application via Exeger’s career page. If you do not have a resume at hand, you are welcome to apply with your LinkedIn-profile.

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

When you have applied, an automized confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. The hiring team will then review all applicants together. If selected to the next step, you will be asked to finalize an analytical and personality test from Alva Labs. Then you will be invited for interviews together with hiring manager and/or team and talent partner. Cases or scenarios might be used during the process. Reference- and background check is mandatory.
