Senior Business Controller – Financial Planning and Factory Controlling

In this role you will act as a business partner to the relevant line and factory including R&D with an objective to turn HVDC into a global operating unit. You will ensure cost performance for multiple lines by preparing financial analyses, ensuring cost controls, providing recommendations for financial decisions, and serving as the main finance representative for assigned tasks.
Your responsibilities
Global collaboration for business planning and processes across the globe
Accurate preparation of forecast for global product group HVDC and ensure reconciliation of the forecast with project execution plan
Evaluate financial implications of various decisions and recommend actions for various lines functions, factory and R&D activities
Responsibility for budgeting and tracking the cost as per budget through the year
Ensure audit queries from different auditors are handled appropriately with all stakeholders involved
Report for HVDC at a global level as per the GPG guidance. Ensure timely review of balance sheet and income statement
Ensure that global R&D costs are optimized. You will be responsible to ensure that there is no cost over-run from budget and the R&D fees as collected from different units are in line with the expenses
Develop the competence and nurture the talent with global collaboration in mind as well as identify gaps thru competence assessment

Your background
You hold a university degree in the financial area combined with several years of work experience in similar roles within business controlling, financial planning and analysis along with project controlling background
Experience in change management
You have good leadership and collaboration skills to work well both locally, globally and to be able to lead change
As a person you drive to exceed goals & improve business practices for higher performance levels
You collaborate well across cultures and act as a facilitator between cultures
