As part of our team, you will lead business development activities with video game developers and other industry partners. You will land new partnerships and extend existing ones to ensure Paradox Interactive’s portfolio stays fresh and singularly “Paradox”-flavored. You work with product management, legal, finance, production and marketing, to evaluate/develop, garner internal approval for business cases, negotiate and close publishing partnership deals with developers and other partners.
Responsibilities
Scout and identify new games and studio partners based on portfolio needs, as well as other key opportunities
Advocate and communicate extensively with internal stakeholders to bring them onboard new projects and partnerships
Develop and maintain an extensive network of business partners and development studios for potential future publishing partnerships
Drive relevant business modeling, forecasting, assist in portfolio planning efforts.
Guide publishing partnerships and agreements through the Paradox Interactive’s Greenlight Process.
Maintain a high-level of internal and external partner satisfaction.
Analyze global market opportunities and help execute existing strategies for our segments (Management, RPG and Strategy) that will drive revenue growth.
Help plan and lead parts of the business development teams day-to-day operations.
Required qualifications:
7+ years experience in similar roles in the games industry with an existing (and extensive) contact network.
Proven track record of negotiating and running business cases from term sheet to signed contract.
Proven experience spanning business development and strategy in gaming and interactive entertainment, including executing publishing, distribution, development, and technology deals with external partners.
Experience working in Asia and existing contact network in Asia will be considered an advantage
Experience working on mobile titles will be considered an advantage
On a personal level you have the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects while not compromising for quality. You have a knack for developing relationships and comfortable dealing different audiences on a broad range of topics i.e. technical, business and creative. Finally, you are passionate about games and business and are always looking for innovative ways to combine the two.
