Senior Buyer Construction Work

Indirect Purchasing We work closely with our stakeholders at Facility Management, Research & Development and Manufacturing in order to find the best solution for Volvo Cars. The Facilities Purchasing team focus on purchasing Construction, Rent, Utilities and Facility management. As Senior Buyer you will be responsible for purchasing indirect material and services focusing on the construction area.

Main responsibilities

* Lead sourcing projects including setting sourcing strategies, conducting request for quotations and negotiate commercial and legal agreements
* Reduce total cost of ownership
* Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
* Challenge status quo
* Facilitate sourcing specification documentation
* Ensure purchasing processes are followed and enhanced

Required qualifications

* University degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or Business
* At least 5 years of relevant work experience
* Purchasing experience within the construction area is an advantage
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Knowledge in the Swedish language is meritorious
