Senior Buyer Electromobility

Volvo Penta is expanding our electromobility purchasing group and are looking for a senior buyer that will handle the scope of Power conversion and Electric distribution systems.

The mission for the role
You will be responsible for supplier scouting, early phase sourcing and initiating business negotiations. You will be leading the purchasing activities related to involvement of suppliers in technology development and consolidate and drive business in the portfolio. Furthermore, you will be responsible for having the global expertise on all QDCFTSR aspects (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management). In your role as Senior Buyer you will also be responsible for identifying and implement synergies with other Business Areas.

We are looking someone with the ability to drive new development and who can provide direction and guidance. The most important thing for us is that you are experienced with a solid purchasing knowledge from related areas. To be successful in the role we also believe that you are responsible, dependable and that you like to do business, since that is what this job is about. Furthermore, you have a relevant academic education.

Required knowledge and experiences
Experienced buyer preferably with connection to the automotive business
Knowledge and interest in technology
Education at university level within engineering, economy, logistics or similar areas
