Senior Buyer for consulting assignments

We are looking for a Senior/Expert Buyer, preferably with experience on procuring process equipment within the area of Battery Manufacturing, more specifically Cell Manufacturing.

This assignment is long-term and is connected to the Mariestad Battery Cell project driven by Volvo Group. Location is Gothenburg with occasional travel to Mariestad and to suppliers.

Experience

Position typically requires 10 years or more relevant experience. Manages or performs strategic sourcing work by initiating and driving sourcing and cost reduction, developing and implementing the segment strategy in the area of responsibility. And for driving strategic purchasing activities within the commodity.

Establishes supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs.

Work tasks

-Negotiates contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients.

-Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.

-Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.

-On higher level might drive transformation initiatives (digitalization and sustainability)

On Expert level the employee is a recognized expert in buying typically obtained through advanced education and work experience, position typically requires 10 years or more relevant experience.

Typically responsible for: - Establishing operational plans for job area. - Developing and implementing new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results. - Requires communication with leadership

Location: Gothenburg and Mariestad
