The primary role of Indirect Purchasing - IT is to serve the Global IT department within Volvo Car Group with relevant sourcing activities, negotiations, supplier- market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers. Our generic task as a staff function is to support, but also to challenge in order to improve the way IT supports the overall objectives for Volvo Car Group. We constantly seek to develop ourselves through best practices to better serve the challenges ahead and contribute to Volvo Car Group's growth plan and other business objectives.

As Senior Buyer IT Services you will play an important role in ensuring a close relationship with our stakeholders and a fruitful relationship with our suppliers in order to create best value for Volvo Car Group. Main responsibilities

* Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with global suppliers within the IT area, such as project development services, support & maintenance services, infrastructure services, managed services etc.
* Be the VCC focal point towards IT suppliers in commercial and contractual discussion and negotiations
* Support IT with professional knowledge, experience and skills how to obtain best possible sourcing solution
* Prepare and effectuate RFI and RFQ in close collaboration with IT Stakeholders and strategic buyers
* Find saving opportunities and drive the initiatives forward in collaboration with Purchasing managers, Strategic buyers, and stakeholders
* Execute and support market-, supplier- and spend analysis to be on top of the IT Service area
* Review purchase requisitions and place orders
* Work in close collaboration with strategic buyers, purchasing managers, as well as stakeholders, to ensure alignment of the IT sourcing strategy

Required qualifications

* University degree or equivalent professional experience in the relevant area
* Professional experience in the purchasing of IT Services and multi sourcing area
* Professional experience in cooperation with global stakeholders
* Professional negotiation skills, commercial and contractual track record for global services
* Solid understanding of the legal aspects in a contract
* Experience from managed services
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
