Volvo Group CAD and PDM (Product Data Management) logic is used to manage Volvo Group’s product defining information throughout the entire product lifecycle. CAD and PDM logic consists of a set of information elements (such as variants, parts, CAD-models, design change notes etc.), methods and an IT ecosystem (with KOLA, Windchill and Creo in center).
We are a team of experts globally working with the CAD/PDM logic based on global and cross-functional demands in different product areas. The work is carried out together with a comprehensive network of colleagues at different Volvo Group sites and functions.
We are now looking for a senior CAD/PDM specialist to join our team and bring Volvo Group CAD/PDM logic to the next level.


Main tasks:


As CAD/PDM specialist, your main tasks will be to:
participate in CAD/PDM-related investigations and projects to map business demands and define corresponding CAD/PDM solutions.
actively spread and share knowledge by developing high-end presentations and coaching others.
be involved in defining new processes and methods as well as specifying IT support required to meet future business demands.
continuously follow state of art and trends in the CAD/PDM area and identify improvement potentials.



Qualifications and competences

To succeed in this role, you have:
a. at least 5 years experience of Volvo Group PDM environment, i.e., KOLA, Windchill
b. at least 5 years experience of Volvo Group CAD/DMU environment, i.e., Creo, Creo View, AVP/GWYN.
c. strong analytical skills
d. strong collaboration skills
e. good presentation skills
f. M.Sc. engineering degree in mechanical engineering
g. basic trucks knowledge
