In order to succeed with the launch plan ahead of us, we need to be pioneers in taking decisions only based on simulations. For that reason, we are now looking for a Senior CAE coordinator for our R&D organisation. 

Job Description
As a Senior CAE engineer, you will be an integral part of building the processes and way of working together with the Head of Simulation and key stakeholders within the department. Utilizing already proven Scania methods and incorporating them in the R&D Asia organisation will be key to reaching our goals.

Depending on your profile and interests, taking part in recruitment and building the organisation can also be part of the role. 

The role will span a wide area of responsibilities


• Establish and develop simulation processes for the whole department, within all areas, securing a long-term simulation-driven development.
• Initially setting up an inventory of models, load cases, and methods to verify the product using simulations.
• Performing analyses within your area of expertise (i.e. structural or external aero/combustion/HVAC)
• Collaborating, and coordinating with our external simulation partners to secure high-quality deliveries

Your profile
You have a proven track record in working with simulations as means of driving product development. As a person, you are able to freely switch between details and a holistic perspective, and with that focus on what really adds to our common goal in every situation.

In your journey so far, we believe that you have: 


• At least five years of experience working as a CAE-engineer
• Established network within the Scania R&D-organization
• Understanding of Scania’s product development process and simulation methods 
• You speak and write fluent English. Mandarin and Swedish language skills are an advantage.

Your location
The position is based in Södertälje but short-term assignments in Rugao, China, will be possible.
