What do we offer?
The Road Noise Concept Team is a part of the Personal Centre within Research & Development at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. The Personal Centre supports the strategic direction of “Freedom to move in a Personal, Sustainable & Safe way”. We organize competence in dynamic attributes such as vehicle dynamics, brake attributes, performance & drivability, road noise, wind noise, solidity, operational sound quality, audio & ANC performance, interactive sound design and trimmed body acoustics & dynamics. In close collaboration with stakeholders we take responsibility for a personal experience for our end users. 

The Road Noise Concept Team is responsible for performing concept development, verification, and support industrialization for all vehicle programs. We perform CAE analyses through simulation of road NVH on component-, system-, and full vehicle level. The team makes use of multiple simulation disciplines, and you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the area together with your colleagues.

What you’ll do 
As Senior NVH Engineer, you will be responsible to perform road noise simulations, i.e., complete vehicle simulations, vibration and noise transfer function and root cause analysis in our car programs, develop our simulation models and methods and participate in requirement setting and writing design guidelines. We are often working in cross-functional teams which will give you many internal and external interfaces of collaboration and a chance to develop a broad network. 

Main responsibilities 
• Perform NVH CAE analysis for complete vehicle including root cause analysis. 
• Participate in car program teams and communicate analysis results and guide the design work from an NVH perspective 
• Participate in the requirement setting of the NVH attribute at systems level 
• Participate in the development of improved or new methods and model capability 
• Participate in implementation of new software / hardware 
• Lead and take responsibility in NVH CAE assignments dependent of experience and knowledge

You and your skills
We see that you have a Master of Science or higher education in Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering or Engineering Physics, or similar. You will also need knowledge in structural dynamics and engineering acoustics. Furthermore, you need to have a driver’s license and be fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge in Hyperworks, Nastran, Adams,Ansa, Matlab, and Python is an advantage.

On a personal level, you are a customer focused and result oriented team player with analytical capability and good interpersonal and communication skills.
