Development of efficient and optimized alternative fuel, electromobility, and fuel cell power systems is a key of success.

You will be part of a smaller team that are responsible of exploring, develop and establish new simulation method and models for alternative fuels (CNG, H2 and Methanol). You will support the company with understanding, knowledge and expertise in this new area by help of simulation and analysis. Your results and conclusions will be the base for technical decisions, choice of concepts and future directions.

Your academic degree is M.Sc. or Ph.D. within the field of simulation and analysis. You have experience in 1-D engine performance simulations and/or 3D CFD combustion analysis. The main simulation tools to use are GT-suite and Converge. Some experience in Python is also merited.

In your cover letter please list your qualifications in academic degrees and work experiences.

The CAE Simulation team at Volvo Penta consists of about 20 skilled CAE engineers working within different simulation fields (Engine & Combustion, FEA, CFD, NVH, MBD, TVC, Vehicle & System, Battery). The advantage sitting together in one CAE team is obvious with respect to communication, collaboration, and simulation synergies. We continuously develop and improve our methods and way of working. We use modern commercial CAE simulation software’s and powerful hardware to meet the high set demands and to meet our vision: To become the world leader in sustainable power solutions.
