Welcome to Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), a division of Volvo Group Sweden.
Our team is part of the After-Treatment Technology. We provide state-of-the-art research, engineering, product planning and project execution of complete products, for all Volvo group customers. Responsibilities include on board diagnostic (OBD) algorithms and calibration of After-Treatment powertrain systems to comply with certification regulations. This position will allow you to spend time in engine test cells, chassis dynamometer and on-road vehicle testing. The job suits engineers that enjoy combining control and monitoring theory and measurement data analysis with performing hands-on testing.

What You Will be Doing
As a Senior Engineer, On-Board Diagnosis for EATS Your responsibilities will include:
Operating world-class heavy-duty engine dynamometer test cells.
Being responsible for efficiently and accurately executing test procedures while concurrently reviewing testing results to ensure reliability of data

Dataset function Owner:
It will be within your role to collect and evaluate large data, to test new software functions together with the control software development team, to calibrate and to optimize your field of responsibility in the most efficient way. You will also be able to test vehicles in different environment conditions which requires a willingness to travel worldwide.
Calibrate on-board diagnostic functionality pertaining to the aftertreatment system catalysts, filter, sensors, and other technologies
Verify OBD monitor performance and robustness through data analysis from trucks, test cells, and other sources
Plan, conduct, and interpret results from development and verification testing
Innovate OBD algorithms and concepts with respect to future certification requirements
Perform calculations by applying the latest analytical methods in support of monitor testing and design
Data analysis, modelling, and optimization
Issue written and oral reports

Domestic and international travel may be required.
Qualifications of a successful candidate include:
Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
3-8+ years of experience engineering/ engine development or exhaust aftertreatment development
Good understand of OBD regulatory requirements
Good knowledge of Creta, ATI Vision, Matlab, Python and C-programming experience is advantageous
Knowledge and experience in the development of Tuning for Aftertreatment diagnostics and engine controls
Strong communication and presentation skills
Action oriented with ability to work with minimal supervision
Motivated to solve problems and develop quality solutions in a timely manner
Ability to successfully collaborate with global and cross-functional colleagues
Innovative mindset with customer focus
Excellent knowledge in English, both spoken and written
