Global Investments team within Indirect Procurement Department manages suppliers providing products, services and investments and together with our stakeholders contributes to transformation for our company.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Buyer who will act as a procurement specialist, responsible for shaping and executing procuring for our new battery assembly installations in our car factories around the globe. This area is highly dynamic and very rapidly evolving and therefore offers a lot of challenges and possibilities to grow as a professional. quickly adapt to our fast-moving work environment.
What you`ll do?
• You will together with a global cross-functional team ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner
• Collaborate with global project teams and occasionally taking the lead in tasks, to synchronize and ensure alignment of needs and requirements
Offer counsel and guidance on procurement best practices.
• Cultivate and uphold supplier relationships to ensure their alignment with the company's sustainability, quality, pricing, and delivery expectations.
• Gain an understanding of diverse regional market structures to ensure the company optimizes its investments
• Guarantee suppliers' compliance to all company policies and procedures
• Formulate and execute procurement strategies for the battery assembly area, including the identification of potential new suppliers, contract negotiations, and oversight of supplier performance
• Identify and manage risks associated with procurement activities and implement suitable mitigation strategies
• Participate in international business travels
What you`ll bring?
• Relevant education and work experience with larger automation projects and international procurement
• Experience with supplier management or contractual topics, and facilitation of fact-based negotiations and discussions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple priorities
• High flexibility and ability to continuously change and develop strategies together with different stakeholders
• Creative mindset, innovative approach and diversity
• Personal qualities, such as honesty, integrity and authenticity
• Team spirit and collaborative attitude that will contribute to meet shared expectations
English is your primary language for written and spoken communication and you are proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
