You will be part of a highly strategic commodity with a lot of focus and attention from stakeholders and managers within the whole company. You will be managing High voltage Batteries in the development, sourcing, industrialization, and running production phase.
In this role, you will work in a global cross-functional team with close collaboration with other buyers, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and others.
You will work with stakeholders and suppliers to understand your product, its market, supply base and innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars – including quality, cost and sustainability which is one of our top priorities. You will have a close collaboration with our Sustainability team focusing on blockchain and making sure our supplier base is having the same ambitions and targets as we do.
By leading negotiations and building relationships with the international Battery supplier base, you will be responsible for continuous improvement of the overall performance and competitiveness in the value chain.

To succeed in this role, you have a Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent).
You have experience in Commercial and/or Engineering work (minimum 5 years) including commercial negotiations.
Experience from working with Electrification is meritorious.
You also have a strong business acumen combined with high integrity and can prioritize your own work and always deliver on time.
Supplier relations are important, where your excellent communication skills, are a great ability. Daily negotiation is also one of your strongest areas.
