In Procurement, you're a vital member of our global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Your role is pivotal in securing materials and services at the optimal cost, quality, and technology levels, crucial for the company´s success.
At Logistics Procurement we are now seeking a new member to join our Inbound Logistics Team responsible for procuring Air, Sea, Rail and Warehouse services. This dynamic and challenging area offers you the opportunity to collaborate with a globally dispersed team (located in Gothenburg, Charleston, and Shanghai) and various stakeholders, including logistics engineering and manufacturing operations. Together, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the next generation of logistics services within intercontinental transports, packaging & terminals.

What you will do?
• Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects and negotiations within the category including preparation, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection and contract management
• Develop and implement category and supplier strategies
• Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
• Work proactively with key business stakeholders to understand your product/service, its market, supply base and potential innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars - including cost, quality, and sustainability
• Perform market analysis, prioritization, and identification of optimal negotiation tactics.
• Deal with ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make data driven decisions or recommendations to your stakeholders
• Dare to challenge the status quo or established routes with stakeholders, suppliers, and individuals
• Work proactively to foster better mutual understanding and collaboratively pursue shared solutions
• You will occasionally participate in international business travel
What you will bring?
• Knowledge within procurement and related supply chain services
• Project management skills and ability to successfully drive complex sourcing projects even under tough circumstances and uncertain environments
• Proficiency in practical analysis and data interpretation
• Experience in conducting business in a global setting with international suppliers where a strong business acumen is a prerequisite
• Experience in project management, with creating plans and work in a structured way to achieve goals by setting priorities.
• Relevant university degree or equivalent work experience within procurement, logistics, finance or automotive industry.
• Contribute with a collaborative approach, as well as analytical and organizational skills that drive successful outcomes
English is your primary language for written and spoken communication and you are proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
